Snacking Strategies
1. Listen to your body- Snack when you feel hungry.
2. Keep snacks handy- Always be prepared by keeping a stash of pre-planned
snacks on hand in your backpack.
3. Moderation- Eat enough but not too much. It's not a meal...
4. Don't forget the protein- Incorporating some protein snacks helps
you feel full longer. Try cheese, low-fat yogurt or cottage cheese.
5. Avoid simple carbohydrates (sugars)- Candy bars and sodas.
6. Eat complex carbohydrates (starches)- Whole-grain breads or cereals.
